Social Responsibility

Monalto recognises the importance of being part of the local community in which we work and other international communities. From charitable organisations to sporting programs, we aim to make our contribution.

A Family Foundation

Through our parent company and family foundation, Monalto is involved in several international projects.

Our motto - “to make a real difference”.

Our method - to support well managed, needy efforts and apply strict business practices, expense ratio analysis and reporting disciplines.

Our basic object - know where the money goes, at what cost and how to measure the results.

Our result – diverse projects:

  • Education - secondary in Uganda
  • Sport - U.K., Jersey and Africa
  • Medical - cancer pain relief, spinal injury and AIDS
  • Global governance
  • Animal refuge
  • special general relief to a small Nigerian village 

 

So far we feel we have “made a real difference”. These projects were chosen because they matter deeply to individuals in our company.

The Blackthorn Trust provides medical care and rehabilitation through work and community. www.blackthorn.org.uk

 

 

Colin Javens – tetraplegic and now a motivational speaker was given financial and administrative support when he planned to return to his childhood home, driving from London to Cape Town. Follow his story at www.drivinghome.co.uk. All funds raised go to spinal injury research.

 

 

Focused in East Africa, Peas is a non-profit organization whose mission is: “To unlock the potential of Africa by delivering equal access to affordable, quality secondary education”. They now have 8 schools fulfilling this mission throughout Uganda. www.peas.org.uk

 

 

Founded in 1992, Nyumbani Children's Home is an active response to the rising number of HIV infected children born in Africa every day. Lea Toto, Swahili for “to raise the child”, is a community-based outreach program providing services to HIV+ children and their families. www.nyumbani.org

 

Extra Level of Service
It’s interesting that I find myself on a similar trip with another supplier this week to Pebble Beach and I’m missing the extra service that you and your team spoil us with. We had to drag our own clubs to the course, etc… Keep doing what you’re doing. Being on these back to back trips, both to very nice places, shows how that extra level of service elevates the experience dramatically. I’ll certainly recommend you to others and keep you in mind should the opportunity arise within my team for an event.
